  • First digit (1–6): Protection against solid particles. 6 = fully dust-tight.
  • Second digit (1–8): Protection against water. 4 = splash-proof; 5 = jet-proof; 6 = powerful water jets; 7 = temporary immersion; 8 = continuous immersion.
